The March BC-3CP-MD is a blast (fan) cooled magnetic drive pump with an encapsulated impeller magnet, delivering up to 11 GPM at heads to 21 feet (9 PSI) on a 115V TEFC motor rated to 190°F. Beyond general uses like film processors, ice makers, vapor degreasers, and marine air conditioning, this pump is specifically used in MRI gradient chiller systems, keeping cool water flowing through an MRI magnet's gradient coil, and in laboratory recirculating chillers from brands such as Neslab, Lytron, and Ellis. Because the impeller is magnetically coupled with no mechanical shaft seal, it runs leak-free with minimal maintenance — an important quality in continuous-duty medical and lab cooling equipment.
