The March LC-5C-MD is a submersible, polypropylene magnetic drive pump that can also run open-air (non-submerged), delivering up to 14 GPM at heads to 26 feet (11 PSI) on a 115V single-phase hermetically sealed motor. It comes with a 6-foot SJT line cord and plug, and — like other "LC" liquid-cooled March models — recirculates a small amount of the pumped fluid back through the motor for cooling, which is part of its sealed, submersible design. Maximum recommended fluid temperature is 130°F, lower than March's open-air-only models, reflecting the added thermal load of submersible operation. It's commonly used in marine air conditioning units from brands such as Marine Air, Cruisair, Taylor Made, and Dometic, as well as general seawater circulation service. Wetted parts include 316 stainless steel and glass-filled polypropylene with an exposed ceramic magnet.
