Positive Displacement Pumps

These pumps are often thought of as high-pressure pumps. Their positive displacement of fluid and fixed volume are the result of the fluid being mechanically moved through their pump passage on a regular cycle. This means that regardless of the system they discharge into, the pressure and volume will remain constant.
