Q: can I deadhead this pump, ie shut off the flow and keep the motor running?
A: Yes you can, ideally for only several minutes. The water will heat up due to friction. Keep water moving, use a bypass vale.

Q: Will this connect directly to a NH (fire hose, NST, NFHT) 1.5"?
A: No - Male Pipe threads NPT NPSH. There are simple adapters that go from 1.5" NPT to 1.5" NH. We use them all the time because we work with forest service as well as general contractors who use NPT.

Q: Can this pump produce at least 20 gpm at 115 psi?
A: No. They are excellent portable pumps but 115 psi is totally maxed out and does not provide 20 gpm. It would easily do it at 80 psi. See the performance chart image. PSI x 2.31 = Feet Head of water. Performance charts are show in FT of Head (TDH).
