- The air side of the pump is constructed of non-metallic materials. If a diaphragn ruptures or if fluid is spilled on the pump, these vital parts are not destroyed. Non-metallic air valve components are also much less prone to air valve icing when air lines contain water.

The Geolast used in the NC and SL models is a nitrile and polypropylene blend. When checking for chemical resistance on Geolast, use the resistance recommendation for nitrile (trade name Buna-N). Santoprene is an EPDM and polypropylene blend. When checking for chemical resistance on Santoprene, use the recommendation for EPDM. Pumps with Santoprene are designated with the suffix "E".
