Grinder Pump
Sewage Grinder Pumps, submersible.
These electric pumps, sometimes called a cutter pump, are used where soft solids need to be ground up prior to sewer or septic tanks. Grinder pumps come in grades for Consumer and industrial applications starting at 2HP. Shredder pumps which are in the family of grinder pumps are also available for general dewatering.
Grinder pumps
are often required by local building code, where you need high head in a sewage pump or when pumping into a pressurized sewer main. Grinder pumps often have a seperate control panel and come in simplex or duplex.
Sewage grinder pump brands include: Barnes, Ebara, Power-flo, Little Giant, AMT shredder.
