Gear Pumps

Gear pumps, or rotary gear pumps,

are positive displacement (or fixed displacement), meaning they pump a constant amount of fluid for each revolution. Hypro, Oberdorfer gear pumps come in Cast Iron,Stainless Gear pump and Bronze. These pumps are for thick / high viscousity to water like liquids.

Sizes of our gear pumps range from 1/4" - 2" in size and are available with electric motors or bearing pedestal mount for local drive units.

Gear pumps have limited self priming abilities and should not run dry or handle any abrasives. The electric motors come in single or three phase along with Explosion proof.

Used for pumping oils, soaps, fuel and chemicals. Gear pumps are capable of high pressure but at low flow rates. The size of the electric motor depends directly to the output pressure. Flow is generally steady and no pulsation.
