Plumbing of Pumptec Spray Basic Spray Basic has 1 Inlet (suction) ports and 2 outlet (pressure) ports. Inlet ports: ½” Hose Barb Outlet ports: 3/8” Hose Barb (2) Regulator ports: 3/8” Hose Barb (Bypass) • Inlet port connects to water supply from tank. 3/8” cap can be removed to provide another inlet port. • Outlet ports connect to spray guns, nozzles, or other pressure accessories. • The regulator 3/8” hose barb should be connected to a hose that routes back to tank. Do not connect bypass hose from regulator back to pump. • To correctly plumb the pump, it is necessary to use at least 1 Inlet and 1 Outlet port. • The above plumbing is the preferred set-up to provide the easiest installation. • Use of included Pressure Regulator is mandatory. Failure to use the Regulator will lead to pump and motor failure. • The levered ball valve can control flow to a spray boom or other accessories.
