Impeller for Wayne WLS150 lawn sprinkler pump. Plastic closed impeller with brass nut insert. Mechanical shaft seal is recommended to be changed when the impeller is. The shaft seal is made up of two highly polished flat faces, one carbon (soft) the other hard (white ceramic). After a period of running they "mate" together preventing any water leak out the back side of pump, motor side. When you replace the impeller you will also remove and thus be re-installing the black front half. There is a very good chance that the "matched" faces will not seal and a water leak can occur. Seal PN is 15559-002 Due to secondary machining operations on this size impeller 1-1/2HP, the price is different than the 2HP size which is the full size blank without any secondary machining.
