Franklin FBSEF series pumps are electric motor driven self priming pumps designed specially for fertilizer transfer applications. FKM and stainless steel mechanical seal. With the FBSEF, only the pump casing need be filled with liquid to get the pump working. If the suction pipe empties, the BSEF will automatically reprime. The FBSEF has an open impeller to allow for high volumes of water at moderate pressures. The impeller is also blind hole tapped to protect the motor shaft from corrosion. In addition, the impeller is specially sized to allow for pumping liquids considerably heavier than water without overloading the motor.

Impeller: Semi-open cast iron ideal for handling fertilizer, salt water,
dirty water, or other liquids; blind-hole tapped so liquid will not corrode
the shaft
