Designed for continuous duty service on close-coupled pumps using NEMA JM mounting provisions. All motors have a rigid mounting base and NEMA JM pump shaft.Open drip proof construction with cooling air exhausts at the shaft end for maximum cooling. Oversized locked bearing on shaft and limits axial shaft movement. A drip cover is supplied with 143-5JM and 213JM steel frame motors, for use when mounting the motor vertically with rigid base. Drip cover for 182-4JM frame motors are available as an acessory item. LEESON 182-4JM frame motors have enclosed endshields as standard with vents meeting 12° drip-proof requirement.High efficiency copper windings with NEMA 1.15 service factors.
